My Best Guide was Wikipedia though:

I always used to end up searching characters from history (Like we’ve quite a few generations of Raja Ram.... Raghu,Dashratha,Harishchandra are just some commonly known of them) and then do a wiki on them which helps with lot of stories and links:

(For a change it might be interesting to know that Raja Agrasena was also a suryavanshi king and then he started his own clan to which we all belong to. )

One of the other sources could be searching out blogs and reading them. It is usually interesting to do so.

Or took up a project. Like –

1. Finding out the present stage of IIM’s pass out.... (Remember the Idli Guy - Sarath Babu of Madipakkam in Chennai)
2. Finding out why a city has been named like that. (It might be interesting to know that Raipur was named in 1402 A.D. After King Brahmadeo Rai and thats when he set up Mahadev Ghat Temple of Hatkeshwar Mahadev). Equally interesting are story for Chennai,Calcutta,Mumbai,Gwalior etc....
3. Finding out the first generation entrepreneurs history for a company like – Renuka Sugar’s MD Narendra Murukambi and his rags to riches tale.

Well above are my passion yours might be entirely different........... so it might be worthy to pursue your passion. You know that world famous short story writer used to give only 5 minutes daily for a story and that’s how he has largest story compilation of world. ( I don’t have his name at this point of time)....
